Andrew watering the plants

Over the past month we have made some force improvements around the house. The most major improvement was fixing the sewage line that was dominated by the pine tree in the front yard. The pipe was basically broke in four locations and was directely under a very old, but very healthy pine tree which was clay-cemented into the ground around 5-6 feet deep. Needless to say, in order to flush and drain anything away, we needed to get the pipe fixed. The landscapers came out to cut down the tree and grind down the old roots. The plumbers just finished today cutting the roots with a jack-hammer and saws. After the tree was cut down, the Oregonian in me needed to buy some plant life. So Sarah and I went to Lowe’s to buy tons of plants. Andrew really likes his new plants and has a great time spraying them down with his water hose.

This weekend we plan to finish the back patio for the new BBQ (a friend is pouring a concrete slab) and also till-up the front yard soil to prepare for grass seed. Our front yard is now bare from removing the pine tree, so its time for some grass. Although we witnessed the death of a beautiful pine tree, we are happy for the opportunity for grass and a working toilet. Happy flushing to all and to all a good-night.
