CAMP FIRE AT THE BEACH

On saturday night, the night-sky was clear, stars bright, moon romantic and the air warm and smokey of roasted hot dogs and marshmellows from the oceanside campfire. Today we journied west, to Oceanside Calfornia (the city where some of TOP GUN was filmed) and we sat with some friendly folks from Vista and enjoyed the sound of the beach, walked the pier, ate, and relaxed. It was probably the babies first SMORE and I bet he loved it..., yummmy to his little bitty tummy!

We spent most of saturday morning packing and moving some of our stuff to the new place, which is up in the tall mountains of this hidden valley known as Escondido.

We have also been spending some of our time enjoying the new baby clothes, because they are so cute.

Brian's spring break is almost over and he has some tests next week. Sarah will be working, but this week is an exciting week, because Sarah's mother will be traveling down to hang out and help out with the move. We will certainly enjoy that! Can wait 'til you get here MOM!

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY BLOG

Hello family and friends this is our 'blog,' so we can provide you with current updates of our growing baby and new family. We currently live, work, and study in sunny North San Diego County.

Current Status: Brian is finishing his MA, preparing to move into a larger apartment to make room for the baby (and more books), and looking for a job. He will be graduating late May and enjoys bitter coffee and beer, reading ancient and dusty books, and taking his wife shoe shopping.

Current Status: Sarah is six and a half months pregnant with a baby boy according to the ultra-sound pictures. She is working full-time teaching pre-school and enjoys eating Ben and Jerry's ice-cream, feeling the baby kick, riding her new bike, and napping on the sabbath.

Current Status: Baby Boy is growing every day and is now beginning to wake his mother up in the mornings with his fierce "kicks." He is now almost 13 inches long and weighs about one and a half pounds.

The baby's primitive thin-walled alveoli have developed and are surrounded by capillary network. The fetus is active with movements becoming progressively more noticable to both mother and examiner. The body appearence is lean, unlike his father, and is wrinkled and red. The finger prints and footprints have developed along with fingernails, eyebrows and lashes.

The Doctor says he is healthy and well on his way to a bright and welcoming late June birthday!
