Santa Cookies

Andrew wanted to make Santa some cookies. Here are some pictures of him making the cookies. We told him to leave only three cookies out, because Santa was probably on a diet.

Christmas Eve Dinner 2007

Christmas Eve this year was sort of strange… it was around 85 degrees outside, no sign of snow nor rain and, sadly, no sign of a large family gathering full of foods, laughs and memories. This year, mainly because of being 8 months pregnant, we spent the Christmas break in San Diego. It dawned on my brother Kevin and I the other day that this was the first Christmas that we have not been together for Christmas since I was born. The 27 year streak is over…and over way too fast. Christmas Eve this year was sort of strange…because it is a different type of Christmas excitement. The excitement is not simply what I will receive in gifts, but how much Andrew, my son, will enjoy the season, the excitement of Santa, and the birth of Christ. It was a blast to see Andrew’s bright face and wide eyes look at all his presents sitting under the tree. The Mills family during Christmas Eve 2007 enjoyed the time spent being with each other. We prepared food, made cookies for Santa, watched Christmas movies and had a wonderful formal Christmas dinner with a Christmas Ham, Garlic Roasted Green Beans with Shallots and Hazelnuts, Potato Gratin and Mulled Apple Cider. Later we plan to read stories, play games and sing songs. We sent our love to you all.
